Free resources – colour textures

As the previous post explained, I’ve started giving away free colour textures for you to use in your art & design work. Here’s the first set—you can expect more weekly, probably on a Wednesday. This set are made from some of June’s free palettes, and each is sized to print at a resolution of 300dpi at A4 size.

First, we have a simple bluish parchment texture, designed around bramble-flower colours. (Right-click on the thumbnail to download the full-size version.)

Next, I couldn’t resist the Scarlet Pimpernel, both flower & novel. Again, right-click on the thumbnail to download the full-size version.

And the last is love-in-the-mist, overlaid with a page from John Parkinson’s 1620 gardening book, Paradisi in Sole Paradisus Terrestris (“paradisi in sol” – “park in sun” – he was very proud of that one!) Right-click on the thumbnail to download the full-size version.

As with the palettes, these are all Creative Commons licensed, and you’re entirely at liberty to use them in your own art & design work, including for commercial purposes if you credit me.
